SleepImage Ring Instructions

Follow these simple steps to ensure your sleep study data is collected accurately.

1. Preparation

  • Charge the Ring: Charge for at least 90 minutes before first use. For multi-night studies, recharge for 3 hours between nights.
  • Install the App: Download SleepImage from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  • Sign In: Use the Patient ID from your healthcare provider and your Date of Birth.

2. Pairing the Device

  • Power On: Wear the ring on your left thumb or index finger. It turns on automatically when worn.
  • Connect via App: Open the app and tap the Search/Scan icon. Match the serial number on your ring to the one in the app.
  • Note: Do not use your phone’s Bluetooth settings; only pair through the SleepImage app.

3. Starting the Study

  • Bedtime Only: Start the recording only when you are ready to sleep (not while reading or watching TV).
  • Start Recording: Tap the Play/Start button in the app.
  • Keep Phone Nearby: Keep your phone plugged in and within 6 feet of you all night.

4. Ending and Uploading

  • Stop Recording: When you wake up, tap Stop in the app.
  • Upload Data: Data uploads automatically with an internet connection.
  • Check Status: Confirm “Upload Status” says Completed in the History tab.
Pro-Tip: If you get up during the night, keep the ring on or take it off briefly, but do not stop the recording in the app.
