[Intro Video: How Illumisite Works]

What is Illumisite?

Finding small spots on the lung early is critical. The **Illumisite™ platform** is a state-of-the-art navigation system that acts like a GPS for your lungs. It allows your doctor to navigate through complex airways to reach small, deep-seated nodules that were previously difficult to biopsy without surgery.

Precision

Using real-time fluoroscopic (X-ray) imaging, the system corrects for patient movement and breathing to ensure the biopsy tool is exactly where it needs to be.

Minimally Invasive

The procedure is performed through your natural airways, meaning no incisions and a significantly faster recovery time than traditional surgery.

The “GPS” Experience: How It Works

Before the procedure, a CT scan of your chest is converted into a 3D digital map. During the procedure:

  • Mapping: The software identifies the best “route” to the target.
  • Navigation: Your doctor follows the digital path on a monitor.
  • Confirmation: Advanced “Point-in-Check” technology confirms the location before a sample is taken.

Preparing for Your Procedure

Your comfort and safety are our priorities. Please follow these general guidelines:

Timeframe Instruction
Night Before Do not eat or drink after midnight (fasting).
Morning of Take approved medications with a small sip of water.
After Procedure You must have a designated driver to take you home.
